Prof. Udi Sommer

A professor of Political Science at Tel Aviv University, Udi was the founding head of the Center for the Study of the United States at TAU. His research, published in over 5 dozen articles in top scientific outlets, has also been covered by the Washington Post, Axios, and the New York Times. Research grants from the National Science Foundation and the European Union supported his work. Udi was the chairperson of the Israeli Young Academy and a member of the Global Young Academy. He regularly appears as an expert commentator on prominent media outlets in Israel and internationally. Prior to his academic career, Udi had been the founding director of several social programs for youth of underprivileged background and had had graduate training in clinical psychology.
